In a country with a fully state-owned agricultural sector, this is a calendar event rather than a market event, but it sets the schedule for purchasing seed, machinery and crop-protection products.
The transport complex recorded growth from January to July: road transport reached 118.8% of the previous year's level, aviation 118.5%, rail 107%, and sea and river transport 102.1%.
Practical opportunity: From 3 to 5 November 2026, the CIET 2026 conference and exhibition dedicated to construction, industry, chemicals and energy will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat; the 31st “Turkmenistan Oil and Gas” exhibition is also being prepared. For a closed market, exhibitions remain the main legal channel for making initial contact. Visas are issued only on the basis of an invitation agreed with the state migration service, so planning must be done well in advance.
